UK Jobs

A research tool for visually exploring 412 occupations across the UK economy, built entirely from official ONS data. Occupations are defined by the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) 2020 — the UK government's framework for classifying jobs into 412 unit groups. Pay data comes from the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) 2025, surveyed from ~300,000 employers. Employment projections are from Working Futures 2035 (DfE / Warwick IER). Each rectangle is one occupation — area proportional to the number of people employed, colour shows the selected metric. Occupations are grouped by SOC major group. AI exposure scores (0–10) estimate how much AI will reshape each role: 0 = physical/hands-on work with minimal AI impact, 10 = routine digital work AI can largely perform today.
